Screening
For as long as there have been golf courses and therefore sand specifications, there has been a strain to find sand that is of low silt and clay content and of uniform grading. The Push Up green method advocates the use of local materials to achieve a USGA green specification or similar, in performance. The problem with this is that any form of washing plant is neither cheap nor mobile making the sourcing of material and the sizing unaffordable.
The Alfa One is a versatile, light weight and mobile wash plant that allows one to source local material, wash, size, de-silt, and even blend sands.
This affords leisure facilities the chance to re-look their methods of construction and maintenance and save money.
The sand goes through a process of agitation and scrubbing followed by a series of interchangeable decks that screen top and bottom limits away yielding the required product that is passed over the conveyor and stockpiled where it can be left to drain. The screen is self-sufficient, powered by a 15KvA open side diesel generator, and returns the water used to screen back to the source of your choice. A simple silt trap captures your unwanted fines which can then be discarded or used for a number of other purposes. This is recycling at its best!
